16:00 - Jarling's Custard Cup
Jarlings is a mainstay in Champaign and has been around since 19 Frozen custard is NOT ice cream. One of the favorites at Jarlings is their Snowstorm, today I ordered the pumpkin pie snowstorm ($3.60). I I’ve been to Jarling’s about 6 times since I moved to Champaign, and I think I ordered a pumpkin pie snowstorm about 5 out of the 6 times. Hey, if you know you have something good, you might as well stick with it. ![](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEicCf_7cWRtiuRCXvVOyqVjTSC8eaS9zCyRqymaq3BMQfQxxcWLhkVP4qaARHfqi9fbTvGs7QkiLfoSO0kYlWHtuueRkiVu8rMJ3I6cJb5aRO1iR-qUPm0jQ1xaWOJb-4MKg5XBEZ7B0To/s320/17jare.jpg)
We also got a lemon custard ($1.65), which was a lot less sour than expected. Erica and Lauren both detected some gingery notes. I loved the pumpkin, but wasn't too impressed by the lemon. Next time I come, I'm going to try good old vanilla. Unfortunately, Jarlings closes for the winter sometime in the beginning of November, so I might have to wait until next year.
$5.72 - plus tax
Total spent - $137.94
