I placed the leaves in a plastic bag, added a tablespoon or so of oil and tried to coat the leaves with oil Then placed them on a cookie sheet and baked them in the oven at 350F for about 10 minutes. I carefully watched the oven to make sure that the kale did not burn.
Once out of the oven, I lightly salted the kale chips. They were a quick, cheap, and healthy snack to make!

I see this type of recipe all over the internet these days. I am so curious about what these taste like!! Were they crispy?
Neat! I will certainly try this. I was not raised on kale and have eaten it only once, but this sounds so novel that I've got to try it.

Tracy-Hi! Yes, the kale chips were crispy. Although if you do not dry the fresh kale as much as possible, there may be some soggy portions on a chip.
M&DT-I usually end up throwing kale into soups. I've seen kale chips around and they even have shelf stable products now, so I decided to test out homemade kale chips.
