Grand Rapids, MI~Grand Traverse Pie Company

This week I'm back in Grand Rapids, Michigan for some work travel.  Here's one of my favorite places to eat in the city, the Grand Traverse Pie Company.
The Grand Traverse Pie company is known for their homemade pies. (well, with pie in the restaurant's name, one would think they better have some decent pies). There's over 15 different pie choices each day.  If I end up traveling to Michigan more often, I might do a post reviewing all the different flavors. :P
Gourmet Chicken Salad- Chicken salad mixed with roasted pecans and Michigan dried cherries.  Cherry Chicken Salad-romaine and spring salad, garlic chicken breast, tomatoes, cucumbers, Parmesan cheese, dried cherries, and croutons. The sandwiches, soups, and salads are pretty tasty too!
Pie is not one of my favorite desserts, but I really enjoyed this mountain berry pie. Actually, I really enjoy any pie with that crispy butter crumble topping.  The Lakeshore berry pie consists of strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, and apples. I also enjoy their ABC Crumb Pie with apples, bluberries, and cherries.

Grand Rapids! So close! We are traveling through that area all the time it seems. I have only eaten at Grand Traverse Pie Co once, at as usual, we ordered the same thing I think....I always wondered how big the chain was, I think I ate there in Evansville, IN, but not sure I have ever seen one in IL. Enjoy MI, I am sure the weather is nice and fall like!

Aaron-That's right! I forgot that we have a knack for ordering the same dishes at restaurants! Are you still traveling past Grand Rapids a lot? If so, I'll send you an email offline and maybe we can meet up some time. I am currently in GR and will be traveling here a couple more times in Oct/Nov.

Pie! I wish I was there to eat it with you. Enjoy your trips there. Any chance you'll be back in the NY/NJ/PA area anytime soon?

Chou-Hi! I want to eat pie with you! No, I don't plan on being in the NY/NJ/PA area anytime soon. :( I know I'll be in Boston for a little bit next year. There's a slim chance that I can plan a detour to NY.
