Mike and I ordered for all of us and picked the dishes we like the best.
Chicken Karaage ($8.95)
Pork Gyoza ($7.95) (We had never ordered this one before)
Sukiyaki Bibimbap ($10.95)
My favorite dish at Shokudo is the tofu salad. It's homemade tofu (so creamy that it tastes like cream was added to it), salad, crispy fried noodles, topped with a delicate ponzu-type dressing. It's sooooo good! My next favorite dishes are the rice hot pots. Sesame oil is added to a hot pot, and hot rice and toppings are added to the pot. After letting the rice sit for a few minutes, some of the rice burns and becomes crispy (koge rice). mmmmm....
And you cannot forget about the honey toast. Two huge pieces of warm toasted Japanese bread topped with honey and vanilla ice cream. Every time we go to Shokudo, we somehow manage to make space in our stomaches for this wonderfully simple treat!
K. and her mommy really enjoyed the food and liked the tofu salad and sukiyaki bibimbap the best. I feel bad about it because I housed that tofu salad. I thought that people didn't really like it since it was the first time, K.'s mom had eaten tofu.
I received a call from K. a few days after the wedding and she told me that they had gone back to Shokudo for lunch to eat the bibimbap and the honey toast! I guess they really liked Shokudo too!
The restaurant fills up, so if you are planning on visiting it with a party of 4+ I would recommend making reservations.

We love Shokudo too! Our favorite thing is the Salmon Rice and my kids love the Fries (of course). I really hope they're successful rolling out the restaurants into the mainland.
I've never tried the salmon rice. I think I've tried every rice except for that one. Next time I'm home I will definitely try it. Thanks!
When we went to Shokudo, they didn't have the tofu salad - the tofu machine was broken! bummers, man.
